Detention with Professor Boudreaux (Thana)

Jules sat neatly in her office awaiting one Ms. Thana Semele, she had skipped class again and Jules was getting very tired of it. Her sister Isabella saw some sort of greatness in this girl, Jules saw hints and glimmers of it but other times she saw a snarky little teenage brat that had issues with authority.

Juliette finished her paperwork and filed it away, she grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and placed it on a smaller desk. She pulled her currently red hair up in a pony tail and rolled her long sleeves up and she sat back down at her desk before she heard a knock on her office door. " Come in Thana." She said as she graded a paper.

Thana sighed to herself and did a mental check. Fantales, yes. Phone yes . Boring ass headmaster with detention ? Unfortunately yes. Thana couldn't help it she found the class boring, jeez it was only math . Instead she made the most of a boring period and went and had fun . By skipping it.

Thana knocked on the door and walked in. " Thana Semele reporting for boring ass detention with boring ass Headmaster because I skipped a boring ass class?" She said, slumping her bag on the floor and waiting. She noted a pen and paper out of her corner of her eyes. Lol! Lines? Please that wasn't going to work .

Juliette heard what Thana said and she rolled her eye's, what Lestat and Isabella saw in Thana was probably a figment of their imaginations. She stood up and forced a wry smile on her face. " Good to see you to Ms. Semele." She said as she saw Thana had seen the paper and pen and she smirked inwardly.

" Take a seat," she said and as Thana sat she looked at the paper, there seemed to be nothing on it. " now instead of writing lines you'll be doing something much worse. You are going to re write the words that are wrote in invisible ink, and after that it'll spell a message out. If you use any sort of power, any at all, i will know about it and the punishment will be much more sever, got it?" She asked as she crossed her arms.

Thana rolled her eyes and sat listening to the woman. " And how am I supposed to read invisible ink ?" She said sarcastically . " Let alone what makes you think you can make me do anything . Your only allowed to keep me on detention for a maximum of six hours. I don't have to do jack schitt I just have to wait this out."

Thana said this smugly , her eyes looking at their corners and looking at the paper. Oh the joys of being a hunter . The rune on her shoulder , hidden underneath her shirt  was designed for this. Plus runes weren't powers

Jules growled inwardly, 'Don't kill her Jules, you can't kill her unless you want to face the council leaders wrath.' she thought. " You can feel the indentments from the pen in the paper." She said with a roll of her eye's, she would need about 1,000+ drinks by the time this detention was over.

" Actually, if you sit and wait it out I'll make sure Lestat deals with you, now you and I both know he can be very harsh, or I could get the Vampire council leader and he'll definitely teach you a lesson or twelve." She said coldly, she sat down at her desk.

" No cheating." She stated seriously. " Or you'll have detentions for the rest of the semester and you'll automatically fail all your classes."

Thana rolled her eyes " Wrong Headmaster, I'm human. I don't , and you don't have the authority to bring him here. Not to deal with me. Section twelve humans and creatures, page ninety three paragraph two if memory serves of the creatures code book. Once again try again." Thana said snarkily, smirking as she sat down.

" I am struggling to see a problem with failing , I don't want to be here unless you forgot that plus it would seem very unusual if the University's best entrance exam student failed ." She said, rolling her eyes. " Wait wait let me guess. " I must not tell lies?" She snarked.

Jules listened to Thana. " I believe Dastan would make an exception for me with that rule, besides i don't think you could resist his charm, but if you actually think I believe you're a human without special powers you're dafter than i thought." She said.

Jules blinked as she got a sudden vision of strangling the girl and bleeding her dry, she blinked it away. Juliette... she warned herself, she took a deep breath and quickly calmed down. " Actually it wouldn't, as i would explain that you cheated which is why you got such a good score." She clenched her jaw. " No it spells 'Do your work or i will shove my foot so far up your ass you'll be tasting leather." She said and she grabbed a file. " Oh. If you don't finish, I'll tell everyone about you being Lestat's blood bag."

Thana laughed snarkily, " Please that won't happen . I don't fall for Blood Suckers." Thana said, rolling her eyes again. " Please how many times do I have to tell you ? No special gifts. And I didn't cheat I proved that with the surprise tests remember ? Explain that Headmaster."


She rolled her eyes at her threats but her heart quickened for a second as she mentioned being Lestats blood bag. " Please you have no proof." Thana said, but said down . Smirking to herself as she pulled the pen apart. " You would think vampires would know better then to use acid ink." She thought to herself before tipping the spilling ink over the paper. Science prevailed and the words came through as the acid mixed with the invisible ink. Next step is in the cupboard .


This time Thana really rolled her eyes " Reslly a treasure hunt ? I'm touched." Thana said and looked at the cupboard. " Let me guess.. Armed with a crossbow?" She asked before walking to it and opening it. " And I'm supposed to be seeing??"

Jules scoffed. " Everyone falls for Dastan, even you would, believe me." She said as she graded another paper and wasn't paying attention to the girls rambling. " You could be telepathic for all i know, and how many times will i have to tell you that i don't believe that?" She asked as she moved a piece of hair out of her face.

Jules smirked as she heard Thana's heart rate quicken at mentioning the blood bag. " Oh? Your heart rate picking up was proof enough, as is the faint smell of Lestat from the last time he fed on you. Any vampire can pick it up." She said with a shrug, she watched Thana pull the pen apart and watched her see the message before heading to the cupboard.

" There's nothing special about this treasure hunt Ms. Semele, nope no Crossbow." She added as she stood up, when Thana opened the cupboard stacks of papers fell out and landed on the ground. Jules flicked a light on and three whole hallways were full of paper stacks that were as tall as the ceiling. She smirked at Thana. " You will organize all these in Alphabetical order and make sure they are nice and neat and all the papers are there, also, no trickery. No magic, no gifts, nothing." She said as she grabbed the chair Thana previously sat in and she sat down.

" Remember my promise, break the rules, everyone will know your secret."

Thana rolled her eyes, " Oh yes I'm telepathic. That's how I know you've been fucking with a vampire called Dastan ." Thana retaliated , smirking to herself. " Some pretty heavy making out as well." Her smirk only dropped slightly as she saw the three corridors and bent over laughing. Good god this was ridiculous. This was the best she had?


" Go ahead, tell whoever wants to listen that I'm his feeder. As you said Vampires can already pick it up. As can werewolves so go for it. " she answered, closing the cupboard on the woman so Thana could get it done. She pulled out her headphones and blasted music, listening to an old singer she worked quite quickly . This was just like at training. Within three and a half hours she was done with all of it. Her mind loving the idea. Read. Classify. Sort. This was something Thana actually enjoyed . Without a word once she was done she walked out of the door to the headmasters office. Left her bag, and simply and quietly walked out. " Done and f*ck you ." Was written on the back of the door she left. On a piece of paper at least. Thana was nice enough to do that.

Jules was not phased at all and she simply shrugged. " That was never a secret, besides we won't be bed partners for that much longer and heavy making out is the least we did." She said, she already had a vision that the person Dastan truly wanted was near. She rolled her eye's as Thana laughed. " I've got tons worse, and i mean worse." She added.

" Being underage and a vampires feeder is illegal, believe me i checked myself, so you and Lestat can get into a bunch of trouble for it." She said as she filed her nails bored with this conversation, she saw thana close the door and could see every decision she made with the papers.

Three and a half hours later she shrugged. " F*ck you too brat." She muttered as she saw the note on the back of the door. She was tired of watching Thana run so she walked over to her desk and sat down and continued looking over new students applications.

Thana laughed and shook her head, " Nope. Your wrong . It's not illegal, we checked it out. I'm Aussie born therefor aussie blood sucking rules apply to me. Regardless of jurisdiction . Aussies are meat at thirteen." Thana said, before she walked in to the door.




As she walked out she laughed to herself. And pulled out her phone . Making a call. " Hey , yeah it's me. Yep yep . Nope the headmasters all fooled plus I got to see very important paperwork. Your plan worked Mistress Ophelia." Thana said into the phone, just loud enough for the headmaster down the hall in her room to hear. The headmistress might be able to see some decisions, but with thana it was only what she wanted her to see and hear. Smirking to herself Thana kept walking and talking . " Nope , I can get out. Yes Miss Lia, I will be there. No no she csnt hear me Miss."


With that Thana smiled to herself again and kept walking out to the grounds to her dorm. Her bag still in the headmasters office. It was empty actuslly , apart from a few cardboard boxes filled with balloons . A distraction . Thana smiled and kept walking , pass streets and out past the grounds. Oh she hoped her plan worked.

Jules sighed and watched Thana leave. She could hear Thana speaking to someone on the phone and she listened intently, she got quick flashes of visions and held the side of her head. She stood up and walked out of the office and followed Thana, completely ignoring the bag left in her office.

As she followed Thana through the streets she frowned, where was this girl going? She thought with a small shake of her head. She caught up to thana, and smirked slightly.

" Where are you off to, Ms. Semele?"

Thana heard the Headmaster following her and turned back and smirked. "Oh that's my secret." She answered, before disappearing with a swish of her cloak. Then knowing that the Headmaster would be able to pick up her scent kept walking.


Walking in to a building Thana smiled and hugged someone. "Hey Missy Lia." She said to the woman, a dancer she knew. Hey Red, glad you could make it we could use someone who knows how to do it like you do. the voice replied, Thana smiled and walked in to the building. Which turned out to be a studio, a dance studio.  Dance and music. Her two favourite things.  Thana smiled to herself and hugged some people, before taking off her jumper and revealing a 'swaggy' singlet. Thana did some stretches before talking to 'Missy Lia'. Screw the fact she had lied and said on her entrance form she couldn't do physical things. Half an hour later, and little kids learning to dance later and recording cameras  and the practice was almost done. Now it was just photo stills to go. Thana didn't know if the Headmaster had found her or not but she didn't really care. Dance was her life, she loved it. All day every day she practiced in one way or another.

"Hey Red you going to the battle tonight? Missy Lia asked, and Thana nodded. "Yep, its time to settle this. 41210 are going to know we aren't going to go down without a fight. I don't care if they think we aren't from the streets. I grew up on them, I live them. Dance is what the streets are about. " Thana answered, getting her crew and going to the battle they had all been practicing for. The final street battle.

Thana smiled and laughed as they won, enjoying the moment. What she had said was true, creatures , humans, they all grew up on the streets. But what were they fighting for? Yeah she had her human dance crew, but it wasn't about who they were, where they were from, it was about what they did with what they had. This was why she had lied on her forms, most people like the Headmaster didn't underdtand the streets like Thana did. She laughed and hugged her drenched friends, humans, vampires and werewolves.

Jules flipped the hood of her jacket over her head as to not be seen by Thana, she walked into the same place Thana had and she stood in the very back, she frowned, that wasn't her sister Lia it was a friend of Thana's, Juliette shook her head and watched Thana go and dance with some other kids.

It was great to see Ms. Semele passionate about something other than maths or annoying the piss out of her, she continued to watch silently. When they stopped dancing Jules was one of many clapping, a small smile on her face, Jules was a terrible dancer personally, unless you told her to waltz, that was when Jules could dance. But this street hip hop cool dancing was so not Juliette's forte.

Jules walked over to Thana and smiled. " Impressive moves." She said as she folded her arms underneath her chest.

Thana looked up as she heard that damn formidable voice. A group of friends, both human and creature alike took around her. Thana shrugged it off and walked over to her. "Thanks....Its okay guys. This is my ....Headmaster." Oh the one you have been telling us about? Lia asked, before calling Josh over. Josh was Thana's main male dance partner, the one she had danced with tonight. Sup guurl, dayum Red you find a milf?" he said jokingly, "Just kidding, Ma'am. I'm Josh, Reds sexiest, and best dance partner. Pleasure to meet you Miss Jules."

Thana rolled her eyes, "Alright guys, Josh I'll text you later....I have to go." She said, she wouldn't be attending the after parties. She had to go back with the Headmaster. "I'll um get my things headmaster." She said, going and picking her bag up.

Jules looked at Thana. " This is where you've been sneaking off too eh?" She asked with a curiously raised eye brow and she looked at Lia and the boy called Josh. " It's nice to meet you as well," she said and she nodded and followed Thana to where her things were.

" How long have you been dancing?" She asked off handedly, she watched as all the kids began heading out of the building and probably to their cars and such. She leaned against a near by wall as she waited for Thana to reply.

Thana went and picked up her bag and ignored the boys and their wolf calls whistles, and shook her head slightly. A smile pursing on her lips. Quickly gone when Jules started speaking again. "One of." she answered, "But yes. This is where I sneak off to." Thana admitted, as Jules asked about how long she had been dancing she shrugged. "I grew up on the streets, so ever since a young kid. But I got serious after my parents died. Around eight years."

Swinging her bag up Thana walk. "My car is here." Thana said, pointing to her 67 Chevy. "Well come on, I'm enough shit already I don't want to leave the Headmaster Hanging."

Jules followed Thana to where her things were and she nodded. " Than you should say you're going dancing and I maybe would have let it slide when you told me how important it is to you." She daid as she looked At her. Jules used to have a dance studio at Luna Vermiculus, but no one really used it so she just abandoned it and used it for storage.

Jules rolled her eye's and got into Thana's car. " Nice." She said as she leaned back in the seat and looked around. " I'm guessing this is a family heirloom?" She asked curiously.

"Oh sure and while I'm there I'll invite you over for tea and we can sit and gossip." Thana answered, and rolled her eyes. Like hell she would say anything to Jules. It wasn't going to happen, not a damn chance in hell.

Thana turned the keys on her ignition and zoomed off. Easily driving like nothing was wrong, and shrugged. "No, I bought it and fixed it up." Thana answered honestly, and drove back to LVH. Way way too fast for the speed limit but didn't really care.

Jules rolled her eye's and shook her head. " Must you always be a sarcastic pain in my arse?" She asked with a raised eye brow she knew Thana never got tired of sarcastic comments but Jules didn't care for them much, she already had to deal with comments like those from Ophelia.

" Ah, great job. It must've taken months for you to fix it up by hand, and more than likely by yourself?" She asked curiously, Jules leaned back in her seat and didn't care that she was going over the speed limit as if they wrecked she would probably survive unless there was a fire.

Thana shrugged, "Must you refuse to put me up in harder classes and annoy me?" She answered simply, she never tired of sarcastic comments. She had millions, but that was just mainly out of self defence more then anything.

When she complimented the car though Thana stopped being so sarcastic. "Yes. Not too long though, I grew up on the streets. Cars and dancing are the things that got me to the top of them." Thana answered, and turned. They still had a ways to go. "I have more cars, in my garage." She confessed, and pulled her gloves up higher. "I'm doing a Maccas stop. Want anything?"

Jules bit the inside of her cheek as she tried not to roll her eyes. " I put you in harder classes, but you seem to pass each class with ease and make fun of my Professors in the process." She said as she looked at her. She had heard all the professors complain about Thana always opening her mouth and trying to make fools of them.

Jules nodded as she listened to Thana talk about cars and dancing. " You seem very passionate about cars and dancing." She said with a small smile. " You have a garage?" She asked a little surprised she thought this was the only car Thana would have. " No thank you I'm good." She added when Thana asked if she wanted anything when they needed to make a Maccas stop.

Thana raised an eyebrow, "Well they should know what they are teaching. Why do you think I quit talking in class." Thana rhetorically asked, and shrugged as she said she was passionate about cars and dancing and nodded as the Headmistress didn't seem to believe she had a garage. "Yes." She said simply, and pulled in to the Macca's drive through.

"Welcome to McDonalds what would you like?" Came the voice and Thana looked at the board. "Fillet o' fish please, and a mega soft serve ice cream tub with hot fudge. " Thana ordered and was told the price and drove to the drive through, getting a large coke as an extra as well she went to the other window, paid and got her order and drove back to the University. If the Headmistress wanted to speak she would have to start the conversation.
