Lulu could not believe this! Another party at a business partners home, again! That was three this week. She growled as her maid, Tara, was helping her get ready. She hated these parties, too many stuck up rich people went to these things, flaunting their money, drinking. She shook her head as she was finished getting ready
In her evening dress the color, in her opinion, was awful. Once Tara left she smirked and got a devilish idea, she snuck down into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, she began to cut off the sleeves and began to make it different.
Lulu now had an off the shoulder, sleeveless, dress. She put her hair up in a bun and slipped her shoes on before going downstairs. She did
not want to go! She felt like a toddler pitching a fit, her mother and father were waiting on her. Her mother oohed and awed at her, she rolled her eyes. She was born during the wrong time period and was literally sleeping her life away. Lu and her parents only sat in the carriage for a few moments before they came to their destination.
The house was large and extravagant, she and her family got out of the carriage and walked into the house. Music was playing softly and people were dancing, drinking, and dining. She rolled her eyes and walked down the stairs of the entrance and the butler guy called out their names. " Introducing, Lord Galen Athena, his wife, Lady Vivienne Athena, and their daughter, Lady Lulu Athena." Lulu sighed and followed her parents down the stairs.
Lu immediately grabbed a drink and sipped it, she felt so out of place here. She looked around the room, she knew just about everyone in this room. She looked over, her parents were talking to the Wakefields, her maid told her of a rumor that her parents planned for her to marry their son Vaughn Wakefield. She sipped her drink again and took one more look around. Lu's eye's fell upon someone she had not seen before, he was tall, dark, and very handsome from what Lu could see. She smirked, he did yet didn't look out of place, she looked him up and down; he had money, no wedding ring, no grey hair, he also seemed to not care much about the party either. Lu's eyes followed him wherever he went, she felt drawn to him for some unexplainable reason.
