Julia and Mark were a pair of hunters loyal to the hunters council, they wanted to keep things in order and wanted all dark creatures to die. But when the council went into new hands and changed they wanted out, but were killed before they could escape. Their three children were able to get out thanks to their parents sacrificing themselves so the kids would have a head start.

Akina and her older brother Daniel are what is left of the Zero's, the third child, Damian, was adopted after his mum died after giving birth to him and his father left long before then. So Akina's family took him in and they grew up together, although she did not know she had grown feelings for him until Damian almost died while trying to protect her.

Akina is a very skilled martial artist and usually uses a variety of weapons when hunting, she and Damian have started a secret relationship and have kept it from the council and her brother. She, Daniel, and Damian went back to the council a few years later it is for the sole reason of getting revenge for her parents murder, but is currently waiting for the right time to strike and take down the Hunters council from the inside out.
