Time With Family (Renimay)

Lex was in his huge bear sized, and then some, wolf form. RUnning back with the bags of supplies and a basket of things for Renimey. He didn't even bother shifting back once he got to the house built around the mountainside cave on the far side of the forest. He just barrelled through the door before shifting back. "I'm home!" His gruff strong voice called out. Putting the bags on the counter. Perishables going into the freezer and fridge. He then walked past the kids room where they were all sleeping. Except for Riki. He narrowed his eyes at the small bunk beds of Jace and Leena. Brats should just die already. Shaking his head he called out. "Reni?"

Reni had been in the back of the house hanging the clothes up that she had just washed out so they could dry. Just as she finished she heard Lex come thru the door and she sighed a little. If he woke the little ones she was going to kick his butt. She left the back room and almost ran right into him. "I heard you come in the door dear." She smiled and kissed his cheek. "How many times do I have to remind you to shift before you come in the house?" She asked him and tilted her head. "I just got your children to sleep."

Reni took his arm and led him back to the main area of the home passing by the children's room seeing Riki looking thru a book. She just shook her head, "He is stubborn just like you." She smiled, "So how was your day?"

Lex stretched out. He didn't shift loudly or anything but it was mostly because Renimay liked him in the human form. He had come to the conclusion that was why she always said he needed to shift from wolf to human before entering. That and some weird ass commentary about the kids shifting but that wouldn't start even accidentally for a few more years and they'd know...near the full moon. As with their being half luna-blessed and half Elven there was a chance their slightly pointy eared hybrids wouldn't shift. Or wouldn't be able to shift at will or would only shift on the full moon. Or shift only at night plus the full moon. So many possibilities. As he was thinking his hands shot out and he caught her gently by the shoulders. Oh so very, very gently. With a gentleness you wouldn't imagine him being capable of. Especially if you knew his wolf form...he didn't even have a faded out wanted poster that wasn't active due to the last few decades....well honestly ever since meeting Renimay.

He tried really hard for Renimay. He blinked a bit. "I still hate the door." He said honestly. He made a secondary one just for his wolf form. Though it felt more like a doggy door. He honestly could only barely remember the days when he didn't have to push past a thresh hold....a door or 'doggy door'...to get inside his cave. Snickering a bit as he listened to her. "They are still asleep. Except for Riki." he said with a snort type sound as he rolled his eyes. Making sure to keep his deep and rumbling voice as soft and low as possible. "It isn't noisy and it won't bother the kids." he said knowing this was the same conversation they always had.

Giving her one hellava wolfish grin even in his human form. "I love you Renimay." he said. It was harder for him to say it but he knew whenever he did it would drop the subject and he didn't want to fight with her right now. As she took a hold of his arm he moved it so he could link arms with her. Walking in his human form but he really wanted to be wolf. He knew Renimay understood his wolven voice. Still...he loved making her happy. So he  was in her human form. It felt strange even after numerous years...okay three and a half maybe four...of doing so for her.

Looking into the room as he pointed out that all the pups outside the one who didn't sleep much to begin with yet barely made a sound...Riki...were still asleep. He pointed into the room and looked at her like see? I told you so. "Stubborness is something that was mutually given. Besides...that is all you there. I don't see a need for that strange waste of wood." he said. Waving with playful emphasis with his hand at what was held by Riki. Thus playfully he was making sure to noticably be indicating the book Riki was reading....before he pulled his arm free and wrapped his arm around her. Pulling her into his form as he dropped back into one of the armchairs Reni loved the most. Nuzzling her with a soft rumbling chrring sound. "He is like you...Riki is." he murmured a bit.

"It was good. I got everything you asked for and then some. I need to go hunting soon to get more meat. All the kids really like the meat and you need to eat a little more too." he said with a playful tone. Poking her soft flat stomach. "It is much better now. How about yours?" He said softly. He tried to talk for her. It wasn't his strong suit though.
