Julia and Mark were a pair of hunters loyal to the hunters council, they wanted to keep things in order and wanted all dark creatures to die. But when the council went into new hands and changed they wanted out, but were killed before they could escape. Their three children were able to get out thanks to their parents sacrificing themselves so the kids would have a head start.

Daniel and his baby sister Akina are what is left of the Zero's, the third child, Damian, was adopted after his mum died after giving birth to him and his father left long before then. So Daniel's family took him in and they grew up together along with his baby sister Akina who always had to tag along with them.

Daniel is a very skilled martial artist and usually uses a variety of weapons when hunting. He, Akina, and Damian went back to the council a few years later it is for the sole reason of getting revenge for his parents murder, but is currently waiting for the right time to strike and take down the Hunters council from the inside out.
