Anastasia was born to the Greek God of the Sea Poseidon and his third wife Sea Goddess Amphitrite. They decided that they wanted their daughter to live in both the sea and on land with the humans, so Poseidon posed as Politician named Caspian Cole. They stayed primarily in England and when Poseidon wasn't working he would go out to the sea with his family and they would stay in their under water city.

Ana had always had a love and connection with the sea, anytime she was on land she could barely stand it. Her mother was always worried because she had a sense of adventure and would put herself in harms way. She met Jacoda Crow when she was young and they bickered and bantered like two siblings would, her parents always teased and joked that she had a crush on him but that was soooooo not the case.

Ana is very brave and very intellectual, although she despises politics and hates people thinking she is weak because she is a girl. She is very stubborn and hard headed and is a stickler for following rules, but as she got older she stopped being a stickler for rules after Jacoda taught her rules were meant to be broken.
