Carlisle was born to the muse of music Euterpe and some man she had a one night stand with. She only knew for a few hours when she got pregnant with him. His half sister, Elsa, wasn't angry or anything at her mother, she was happy she was getting a baby brother. Everyone knew they were half siblings as they didn't look much alike at all. But they didn't care what others thought. One day, they came home from school and found a note left by their mother saying she had gone away for a few days and would be back soon...she never came back. Carlisle was 12 at the time.

Carlisle worked as a bus boy at a local diner while his sister worked as a violinist's assistant and a dancer. Carlisle didn't know what kind of dancer she was until he was sixteen and a few guys at the car garage he worked at took him to a burlesque show and he saw her on stage. He was very angry at her but could see that she loved it and that she was only doing it to put food on the table. So he let it slide, they never talk about it though.

Carlisle was sad when Elsa went to Luna Vermiculus, but it was something she wanted to do. He supported her 100% and wanted to follow in her footsteps when it came to school. Now he is a Freshman while Elsa is a Senior. Carlisle is a bit saddened though that he won't be able to ride his motorcycle, Melinda, as much as he wants too.
