Giselle was born to single mother Clarissa Donovan, a seamstress who liked to have a bit of fun. One night at a bar Clarissa met a nice young man and they had drinks together, well they both got a little drunk. One thing led to another and they had a one night stand. Clarissa did not think she would ever be able to have kids as her doctor had said when she was with her ex husband it was a one million chance she'd ever be able to conceive.

When she found out she was expecting Giselle she was elated, but scared out of her mind. She could barely afford to fed herself and now she had to take care of another human being? But she took it all in stride and was able to get enough money for a nice apartment and other things to support the two of them.

But one night, her mothers shop got robbed and the robber's gun accidentally went off. Clarissa died a few moments later at a hospital before Giselle even knew what had happened. By the time she got to the hospital her mom was already gone. It devastated Giselle. She was sent into foster care and was transferred from home to home every couple of months because she kept running away for days at a time. Eventually when she turned 18 she got an apartment and found a job as a bar tender.

Now, almost 10 years later, she owns club Delirium in the creatures world and club Revolution in the Human World. She did not know she was a Nephilim until her 20th birthday, she was at first scared at what she was, but now embraces it and loves being different from everyone else.
